Job Description
Help bring a new generation of battery sensing ICs to market by developing reference systems and supporting customers worldwide.
Specifically, as a Application Engineer in Tessenderlo, your tasks will include:
- Develop and test embedded software and C drivers for microcontrollers
- Develop Python-based evaluation tools and scripts for product testing and data analysis
- Support Tier 1 and Tier 2, on-site and remotely, customers with the implementation and evaluation of Melexis battery sensing products
- Test and debug software and battery sensing products using evaluation boards and laboratory equipment
- Troubleshoot communication and integration issues between software and hardware
- Translate customer feedback into product requirements together with IC design teams

The Ideal Application Engineer has/is:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in Application Engineering, Firmware Engineering or Systems Engineering
- Basic knowledge of Embedded C and an interest in developing software for microcontrollers
- Familiarity with Python, C# or a similar programming language
- Good written and spoken English
- Self-driven, hands-on team player with excellent communication skills
